Direct and contribute for all engineering-related aspects for setting up a new Industrial manufacturing plant.
Participate and contribute for the sourcing of and discussions with vendors on the design and
engineering approval for the machineries and utilities systems such as chilled water, compressed
air, boiler, natural gas, clean room, HVAC, ACMV, clean piping, purified water, wastewater
Execute FAT at vendors’ sites and carry out SAT to qualify plant machineries and utilities.
Recruit new talents and form the required engineering functions (production support, facility,
utilities, IT, etc.)
Conduct facility buy off from construction main contractor.
1 Lead a team of engineers and technicians for the day to day operations.
2 Take charge of and direct site engineering activities, including but not limited to project
management, design & planning, procurement & construction, installation, turnover, tool design,
start-up & commissioning, qualification & validation, troubleshooting & maintenance.
3 Render support to and work closely with production and planner to achieve common operation
goals and timely manufacturing.

9 Develop site maintenance strategy involving preventive and predictive maintenance and root
cause failure analysis with all parties involved.
10 Develop and drive maintenance repair and spare part strategies for the plant, including sourcing,

support to eliminate importation of parts from overseas.
11 Develop Engineering & Maintenance department’s yearly budget and staffing plan to meet site
12 Responsible to ensure the inventory of automation and control areas’ spares/consumables
meeting critical maintenance requirement.
14 Drive and plan roadmap for plant automation, digital manufacturing & Industry 4.0 initiatives.
16 Manage EMS, BMS and CMMS.
17 Approve and manage the development and revision of SOPs, protocols, reports, drawings,

19 Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, ISO standards, EHS standards and other

23 Identify and close technical gaps in support of the strategic and operating plans.
24 Develop plans for the continual improvement of manufacturing using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
25 Plan for and direct re-engineering of machineries for cost reduction.
26 Plan resources and lead the team to support plant Cost Improvement Project (CIP), Business
Continuity Plan (BCP), New Product Development (NDP).
27 Ensure the project delivery objectives, timeline and cost management are met.
28 Introduce and implement the metric programs on production and support.
30 Lead the engineering & maintenance team to achieve department targets and company
31 Develop technical capabilities in engineering and maintenance team.
32 Mentor and review team members' career development, identifying training needs and
providing opportunities to broaden experience.
33 Work with suppliers and product design teams to maximise the value of supplied components as
a part of the overall product realisation process, and carry out ROI analysis.
34 Render assistance to procurement team in sourcing the of qualified engineering supplier.
35 Continually seek opportunities to keep maintenance cost down to the lowest possible level and
drive improvement in pricing of contract and vendor services without sacrificing quality & safety.
1 Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/mechatronic/robotics/industrial
engineering with working experience in engineering.
2 8-10 years of related experience and at least 5 years in management position.
3 Experience in working manufacturing environment is a must, ideally from pharmaceutical,
personal care, nutrition, food, medical or electronics industry.
4 Candidate with experience working in or developing an Industrial 4.0 plant will be an added
